The IEEE WIE, PES, IAS, and IEEE ENICarthage Student Branch organized a team-building event to strengthen community bonds and provide a fun break before exams. The day began with a picnic featuring various games, including team-building activities and card games, fostering teamwork and camaraderie. In the afternoon, we enjoyed beach activities like volleyball, sandcastle building, and swimming. This event combined relaxation and connection, leaving everyone rejuvenated and ready for the exam period.

PES Day : ECOWheels

 The IEEE PES, IAS, and IEEE ENICarthage Student Branch organized an EcoWheels event , held at our National Engineering School of Carthage. We invited two esteemed speakers: Professor Inès Charradi, a renowned researcher in sustainable urban mobility, and Mr. Khaled Hbaieb, COO BAKO Motors and freelance consultant, who shared their valuable expertise on the crucial theme of sustainable mobility. Beyond the talks, we had a packed day filled with fun and learning activities: An escape room game: Putting problem-solving skills to the test using the PES DAY 2024 Puzzle Challenge. “WOMAN IN POWER” trivia show: Celebrating women pioneers in the mobility sector. Research activities and problem-solving challenges: Fostering innovation and critical thinking. A closing ceremony: Concluding a successful event with recognition and celebration. PES Day was a resounding success, fostering awareness and passion for electric mobility and a sustainable future!

The IEEE PES, IAS, and IEEE ENICarthage Student Branch shifted gears and focused on inspiring the next generation of sustainable mobility champions. We visited a local primary school and hosted an interactive workshop titled “Building a Sustainable Future.” The goal? To ignite a spark of curiosity and enthusiasm for electric vehicles and the concept of sustainable mobility.

The workshop wasn’t just lectures; it was a hands-on learning experience! Students got creative by constructing miniature vehicles using recycled bottles. This engaging activity served as a springboard for discussions about the importance of sustainability in transportation and the exciting world of electric cars. Games and Q&A sessions kept the energy high and provided opportunities for the young minds to ask questions, explore their ideas, and discover the potential of electric mobility to shape a cleaner future.

The IEEE ENIT Sight Group collaborated with RAS ENICarthage to organize an exciting workshop titled “Future Tech Innovators Lab” at Manarat El Mourouj Primary School.
This workshop introduced kids to the world of technological innovation and robotics.
Workshop Content:
● Presentation on Arduino and Autonomous Robot Components: Two
members of RAS ENICarthage captivated the kids with a detailed
presentation on Arduino.The presentation also covered the key components
of an autonomous robot, such as sensors, actuators, and microcontrollers.
● Component Demonstration: To make the presentation more tangible, we
brought in actual components like Arduino boards, batteries, and motors. kids
were able to observe and handle these elements, solidifying their
understanding of how a robot works.
● Hands-on Circuit Building Activity: The kids were divided into groups and
provided with Arduino component kits. They were then guided through
building simple circuits for autonomous robots, such as obstacle-detecting
robots.
● Robot Testing and Experimentation: The final stage of the workshop was
the most exciting. Kids had the opportunity to test their obstacle-detecting
robots and see them come to life. The team also brought in a pre-built
all-terrain robot that the kids could control and explore its capabilities.

We Camp 1.0

The IAS, PES, and WIE sections, in collaboration with the IEEE ENICarthage SB orchestrated a remarkable camping adventure in Borj Cedria on March 9th, 2024. Overflowing with joy and fellowship, the excursion deepened the connections among IEEE comrades. A plethora of games and activities abounded, cultivating teamwork and cooperation, and offering abundant moments of delight and amusement. Once we arrived, from 12:00 to 13:00, we worked together to set up our cozy tents, ensuring a comfortable stay throughout our excursion. At 13:00, it was time to fuel up for the day’s adventures with a lunch workshop featuring the delectable flavors of ras maze, prepared from 14:00 to 16:00. Then, from 16:00 to 19:00, we got ready for an action-packed afternoon filled with football matches, thrilling treasure hunts, and friendly card games. As the sun set, our evening entertainment began at 19:00 with a lively karaoke session, followed by more leisurely activities from 21:00 to 23:00, including gathering around the campfire and enjoying a movie under the stars. With the remaining time, there was plenty of laughter, engaging storytelling, and spontaneous games as we created unforgettable memories together.

We encourage everyone to join us in making a difference through small acts of kindness that can bring warmth to the hearts of numerous families in need. We started by placing two donation boxes at our high school to collect money.

Illustrator Training Session

The WIE IEEE ENICarthage organized two Illustrator workshops to enhance design skills among participants. The first workshop, guided by our instructor Nidhal Chelhi, focused on Adobe Illustrator and its tools. This session facilitated skill development and encouraged our webmasters to explore design further.

In the second workshop, participants applied their newly acquired skills in a hands-on project, creating their own designs under Nidhal Chelhi’s guidance. This practical approach reinforced their learning and inspired greater creativity and proficiency with Adobe Illustrator.

We participated in this event, which was an absolute whirlwind of inspiration and connections! The event offered a vibrant platform for participants to gain valuable insights, forge meaningful connections, and contribute to a positive impact.

The Hacking Eco-Health Competition stood out as a major highlight. This competition likely brought together talented individuals to tackle environmental and health challenges through innovative solutions. SolidWorks Bootcamp

November, 8th 2023 to November , 26th 2023

The IEEE ENICarthage Student Branch, in collaboration with RAS Chapter, launched a 5-session SolidWorks bootcamp, led by top instructor Rayen Rezgui to enhance students’ skills in mechanical part manufacturing and design.

In Session 1, we covered the basics and designed simple components. Session 2 focused on refining skills through corrections of two exercises, guided by Rayen’s invaluable feedback. Session 3 delved into advanced modeling techniques, correcting three exercises, and mastering complex geometries and assemblies. In Session 4, we reinforced basics with hands-on workshops and a final quiz. Session 5 included final corrections and culminated in a competition, where one participant emerged as the winner. This comprehensive bootcamp transformed us into confident SolidWorks users.

The IEEE ENICarthage Student Branch, in collaboration with the IEEE CS ENICarthage Student Branch Chapter, hosted the IEEEXtreme 17.0, a global coding competition organized by IEEE. The 24-hour event brought together student teams worldwide to tackle challenging programming problems, showcasing their problem-solving skills. In preparation, the branch organized a series of workshops and training sessions, featuring an infosession presented by an ambassador and competitive programming training sessions by Mr. Khalil Jendoubi.

BLOOD DONATION

The IEEE WIE ENICarthage SAG, along with other organizations, organized a vital blood donation event in collaboration. Held at the ENICarthage main building’s Library, the event collected blood to support medical treatments and emergency care. Donors’ contributions were highly appreciated for their substantial impact on the well-being of individuals in need. TEG: TUNISIA ENERGY GATHERING - PES DAY

Tunisia Energy Gathering (TEG) was an esteemed event that took place online from April 14th to 19th. The event served as a celebration of PES DAY 2023 and aimed to explore various aspects of Climate Change and Renewable Energies. TEG focused on the crucial role of renewable energies in powering a climate safer future. The event featured panel discussions, webinars, and technical workshops with distinguished speakers. TEG was a collaborative effort among several IEEE student branches, including IEEE PES Tunisia Chapter, IEEE ENICarthage SB, IEEE ESSTHS SB, IEEE ESPRIT SB, IEEE ISIMM SB, IEEE ISI SB, IEEE ISTIC SB, and IEEE INAT SB. With over 20 sessions and nearly 30 speakers, the event provided a comprehensive platform for learning and knowledge-sharing. We appreciate the efforts of all the organizers, speakers, and participants who made TEG a successful event in exploring and promoting Climate Change and Renewable Energies.

Fawanis 2.0

The IEEE WIE Enicarthage SAG, in collaboration with the IEEE CS Enicarthage SBC, organized Fawenees 2.0 during the holy month of Ramadan. This remarkable event aimed to bring the community together, promote friendships, and support a charitable cause. Participants enjoyed a diverse iftar menu with delicious dishes, including soups, rice with dried fruits, oven-roasted chicken, tajine, grilled salad, and freshly baked bread.

To emphasize healthy nutrition, a nutritionist provided insights on maintaining a balanced diet during iftar. The event also featured a sky lantern ceremony, where illuminated lanterns were released into the night sky, creating a magical and unforgettable experience.
